Rooms for gaming, conversation, and meeting characterise the internal spaces of the Casinò Sanremo while the external walls are resplendent in Liberty Deco style. There are two entrances: the Porta Principale and the Porta Teatro. Proceeding down the main stairway one gains access to the main hall and the Liberty room dedicated to electronic gaming.
On the ground floor, above the slot room, you can find the Mezzanine with an elegant bar and restaurant area, from which one can take in the scene from above.
Always from the Porta Principale one can enter the Liberty room which is split into a “smoking room” and the “Liberty Theatre”, two areas of sumptuous furnishing and décor in which to enjoy oneself in a refined and welcoming space. For those who so wish, the area dedicated to smokers acts rather like a “casino within the casino”. Proceeding towards the right from the Porta Principale you can admire the “liberty stair” (Scala Liberty) which leads to the first floor and to the traditional games.
On the first floor there are situated several rooms for traditional games and poker. Sala Cinquecento , or “the Fireplace Room”, is notable for its decorated wood ceiling inlays and the historic fireplace, with oriental paintings which recall hunting scenes and which figuratively transport guests to an elegant and wondrous 19th-century clubhouse. In the room there are spaces for socialising and there are also slot machines to while away the time. Moving on, one enters the Common Room and the Attigua Room, both dedicated to traditional games and decorated with Venetian blown-glass light fittings.
Coming after the Attigua Room, the Gio Ponti Room represents one of the most significant examples of the room’s namesake Milanese architect on the Riviera dei Fiori and nearby France. Gio Ponti (1891 - 1979) worked from the 30s to the 50s in Sanremo, Bordighera and in the Monegasque area, designing villas and hotels which still today remain ever-beautiful, such as the Marchesano and Donegani villas. The room bearing his name, built in 1953, has kept the original upholstery, furniture and vision of space which the great designer wished to give it. The same room owes something to another great Italian artist, the painter and decorator Piero Fornasetti. Today it is a multi-purpose room dedicated to tournaments.
The De Sanctis room is the games room reserved for lovers of American gaming and Texas Hold’em poker, where one can take part in various tournaments and even play the cash game. The De Sanctis room is named after its first owner – the patron of the Casino, who wanted to bring together gaming and culture, a legacy which has been handed down with care from owner to owner over the years.
Event Rooms
The Privè and Privatissimo Rooms are reserved for large national and international tournaments such as the IPT and EPT, as well as Burraco. They also host conventions. We organise banquets, meetings, exhibitions and buffets. One enters from the Liberty Stair. Entering from the Porta Teatro one finds the Sala hall or Theatre foyer dedicated to the organisation of exhibitions. Once more from the Porta Teatro you can enter the Liberty Room and from there progress to the Main Hall and to the mezzanine with electronic games and to the Teatro dell’Opera.

Slot Machine Rooms
Casinò Sanremo has six rooms dedicated to electronic games totalling 479 Slot Machines
The Main Hall has two entrances: the first from the basement floor, and the second from the first floor through the prestigious Porta Principale entrance, resplendent in its 1905 design, allowing the guests to enjoy a full panorama of the Casino.
It holds 235 machines, 125 of which allow bets of 1 cent. On the ground floor, above the Main Room, we have the Mezzanine, which has 44 machines and a large, elegant bar, from where you can take in the fascinating view of the Room from above. Around the wings of the Mezzanine, you enter the Mezzanine Hall where there are 37 slot machines of various typologies.
The Liberty Hall is subdivided into a Smoking Room and theLiberty Theatre. The smoking room is a kind of casino within the casino and is reserved for special visitors, holding 86 of the most innovative and captivating slot machines. Another 86 can be found in the “Liberty Theatre” wing, which through a glass separation allows you to interact within the space of the Theatre hall, dedicated to exhibitions and cultural events.
On the floor above, just a few steps from the traditional game rooms, there are a further 22 slot machines in the prestigious Sala Cinquecento, aka the Fireplace Room.

In the Attigua room, Common room and Gio Ponti room, on the first floor, you can find the tabletop games of skill. The Common room renders the beauty of its 110 years with splendid light fittings and the wonder of the French Roulette, Chemin de Fer and Blackjack tables.
